Welcome to the Blog
Your business is growing, your services are in demand, and you’re more confident than ever in the results you deliver. But your website? It’s starting to feel like the weakest link.
Maybe you’ve been avoiding linking your website sending potential clients anywhere but your site, or you know it’s not reflecting the elevated, refined version of your brand that exists today.
If it feels a little bit like I’m calling you out… I am.
Your website should evolve alongside your business. When it doesn’t, it can quietly hold you back from bigger opportunities, higher pricing, and better-fit clients.
AKA your website is leaking dream leads and revenue, yikes.
In this post, we’re breaking down the three biggest signs it’s time to redesign your website, especially if you’re pivoting, raising your rates, or realizing your site just isn’t pulling its weight when it comes to leads.
Any of that feel like you?
At some point in your business, you will inevitably make some kind of pivot. You’re not a beginner anymore. Your baby business has grown and your services, messaging, and tech, are going to grow with it!
Pivoting doesn’t necesarrly mean that you’re making huge changes, it can be small eveloutions like refined service packages, niching down who you serve, or breaking into a new market.
I’ve said it before but I’ll say it again…
Imagine having a sales member on your staff that DID’NT know that you changed your services…
Imagine someone looking for your new service but the only place it’s publicly mentioned in your biz is in a Instagram post from 2 months ago…
When you update your offers, your portfolio, your ideal client, your messaging: you need your internet sales guy aka your website to get the memo.
This is why we dive deep into your brand, your services, and you dream clients before we even start working on your website.
It’s so important that your website is speaking to the right person and qualifying your leads before they even apply to work with you.
Your dream client should immediatly get the impression that “Yes, this person gets what I need and they’re great at what they do”
I’d like to introduce you to every business owners uninvited guest: imposter syndrome.
*lightening flashes, que spooky music*
There’s nothing quite like that nagging little voice in the back of your mind that tells you “you can’t charge that much!“
You’ve hit a point in your business where you’re getting great results for clients and your booked out weeks or months in advance, but you still get a little sweaty when you think about adding a comma or zero to your services.
One of the most underrated benifits of refreshing your brand and website with a professional is the renewed confidence that it gives you! You’ll look at the cohesive and strategy driven website thats been built for you and say to yourself okay my business and services are actually amazing.
(your clients will be saying this too by the way)
The flip side of raising your rates?
Which of these businesses would you expect to cost the most? Which one do you think has the most personalized service? How do you imagine these businesses physical locations looking?
Your website is often the first impression that a lead will get of your business and regardless of how they got there or how much they already know about your business, they are still going to make a sub-conscious judement about your brand based on what they see.
Raising your rates (significantly) without updating your website is a little bit like showing up to an investors meeting in sweat pants. Maybe it will work if you’re really talented and confident at communicating your value or you already have pre-established trust but it’s still probably costing you.
If you find yourself saying “None of my clients come from my website, so it’s not really important anyway” this one’s for you.
Even as literal website designer, I strongly believe that you DON’T need a great website to have a sucessful business. The entire point of building something from nothing is to carve your own path forward and do what makes sense to YOU.
However, by neglecting your website you are leaving money on the table. You’re not qualifying leads with it, and your scaring dream leads away without even realizing it.
PLUS if this is you, I’m willing to bet that you’re seriously lacking organization in the admin side of your biz, and a tech system that makes sense for you.
You’re probably great at networking or local marketing but the tech side of things? Not so much.
Your website should work with the backend side of your business, so that it’s easy to track leads (all in one place), it’s easy to get in touch with you or learn about your services (I see you… using email, text, phone calls, and DMs to talk to a dozen clients), and all of your tech should be connected and simplified.
But Shelby (that’s me), my business is doing great without all that stuff…
First, that’s amazing! It’s so awesome that you’ve built a business that can survive and thrive without being online! Second, if your business is doing so great without a strong online presence, imagine how much better it could be if you did!
You’re booked out, delivering great results, and growing steadily (I’m fangirling over you at this point!), but your website isn’t playing any role in that success. That’s a problem.
Your website should support your sales process, not sit on the sidelines.
If it’s not helping people find you, understand what you offer, or take the next step to work with you, it’s costing you opportunities.
A strategic redesign can transform your site from passive placeholder to powerful lead-generator, so your online presence finally reflects the momentum you’ve built offline.
How do I know if I really need a redesign or if I’m just bored of my site?
It’s normal to outgrow your own design before your audience does, but the key question is whether your website still supports your goals.
If you’re shifting your offers, targeting a different audience, or struggling to attract leads through your site, it’s likely time for a strategic refresh, not just a visual one.
Can I just update my copy or photos instead of redesigning the whole site?
Sometimes small updates are enough, but if your site structure, brand visuals, or messaging no longer reflect where your business is headed, piecemeal updates can feel disjointed. (This is something we see ALL the time)
A full redesign ensures everything works together cohesively to support your next level.
What if I’m getting clients from referrals and Instagram, do I really need a better site?
Yes, if you want to grow sustainably.
A strong website positions you as an expert, builds trust with cold leads, and captures people who are already searching for what you offer.
If your site isn’t converting or representing your brand well, it could be costing you opportunities you don’t even see.
Is now the right time to invest in a new website if I’m raising my rates?
Absolutely.
Your pricing and your online presence should rise together.
A polished, strategic website helps communicate the value of your offer and positions you as a premium provider, which makes raising your rates feel aligned and justified.
How do I redesign without pausing my business or burning out?
You don’t have to do it alone. Whether you’re hiring a designer or customizing a template, the process should be structured and supported.
We guide you through every step, so you can stay focused on your clients while your next-level website takes shape.
Your website should grow with your business not hold it back.
Whether you’re pivoting, raising your rates, or simply ready for your site to start pulling its weight, these signs are worth paying attention to.
A strategic redesign isn’t just about making things look better, it’s about aligning your online presence with the level of work you’re already delivering.
If you’re nodding along to any of the signs we covered, it might be time to rethink your site. Get in touch about a custom website that’s built around your business goals.
You deserve a site that works as hard as you do!
